VMConnector Demo Tutorial

To really experience and understand the VMconnector client/server concept it's worth spending 20 minutes checking out the live demo. It allows you to connect to our live VirtueMart store using our VMClient and test out all the features for yourself.

VMconnector demo installation instructions

Both VMConnector and VirtueMart are already pre-installed and configured on our demo server - all you need to do is download our VMCClient and connect! Please note the VMConnector demo uses special demo-only version of the client. If you eventually decide to go for the full version you will need to remove the demo version first!

Download the free VMCClient desktop client for VMConnector, which will allow you to connect to our demo server.
Unzip the contents of the files to a temporary folder and run "setup.exe" in install the VMC client.
The VMC client should start automatically.

The VMC client is Open Source, which means you can customise it as required to get data from any data source you require. You can even build your own client from scratch and connect to VMconnector web services functions!

This VMCClient DEMO client is locked for DEMO purposes - if you want to use the evaluation or production versions of VMCClient and VMConnector, you will need to uninstall the VMCClient DEMO program and install the full unlocked version of the VMC client!

Try the evaluation version and try it on your server

You can install a trial / evaluation version of VMCOnnector on your own server, and try it out with your own product catalog. The evaluation demo will expire at the end of each month, so you will need to re-download it after the end of the month if you wish to continue using it.

To download it, click here and fill out the form. You will then receive an email with download instructions (in some cases the email may be caught by your junkmail filters).

You will the need to download the VMClient (see above for download and installation procedure) and install VMConnector itself. Click here for installation instructions.

IMPORTANT: VMConnector evaluation version should be used only for tests and development purpose. This evaluation version adds a "-VMC_Eval-" tag into the category and product descriptions during updates.

MS .NET Framework 4 (Setup will automatically download and install it from the Microsoft web site if required)
Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista; Windows XP; Windows 7 (32-64bit)
Processor: 400 MHz Pentium processor or equivalent (Minimum); 1GHz Pentium processor or equivalent (Recommended)
RAM: 96 MB (Minimum); 256 MB (Recommended)
Hard Disk: Up to 500 MB of available space may be required
Display: 800 x 600, 256 colors (Minimum); 1024 x 768 high color, 32-bit (Recommended)
