Importing products from MS Excel into VMCClient, some fields get cut at 255 character
This may happens when you try to import long product text fields from MS Excel intoVMCClient, the text is cut at 255 characters.
The problem is not about the excel version or any other version. MS JET DB engine guess the type of the rows by looking to the number of samples. if it cannot in some number of samples that are longer than the 255 char it just limits the size of the column to the 255. You can change this by setting a bigger guess value to the registry
"You can increase the number of rows sampled by increasing the value of TypeGuessRows under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Excel registry key"
